De Kempen Renting
De Kempen Verhuur, founded in 2006, has been part of the Willy van Doorne International holding since 2016. De Kempen Verhuur is a niche division of DIF-RENT and together they operate a rental fleet of approximately 400 tractor units, trucks, vans and specialized “Waste sector” vehicles.
With a ceremonial key handover at the DAF dealership Truck Trading Limburg in Houthalen, De Kempen Verhuur has once again added 5 new DAF vehicles to its fleet.
The target group of De Kempen Verhuur consists of intermunicipal companies, municipalities, transport companies and all potential customers active in environmental management and waste processing. This means that the rental fleet includes a wide variety of vehicles.
These include gully suction trucks, traditional refuse collection vehicles, dual-compartment refuse trucks, street sweepers, weed brushing machines, vacuum trucks as well as trucks equipped with container hook systems and loader cranes.
Currently, the company manages the largest fleet of cleaning vehicles in the country.
Clemens van Rijn, Sales and Operations Manager of De Kempen Verhuur, explains:
“We offer a tailor-made solution for every customer. This means that we configure a vehicle that best meets the customer’s requirements and needs. We have around forty specialized trucks linked to the ‘Waste sector’ and continue to expand our fleet every year.
This allows us to respond quickly to customer rental needs when a vehicle is out of service due to a breakdown or accident, and to provide a replacement promptly. At the same time, we offer the possibility to maintain and repair the vehicles through our extensive DAF & Mercedes-Benz dealer network operated by Willy van Doorne International.”
This is not something that can be handled by every dealer. Our trucks feature specialized bodywork, often making extensive use of hydraulic components. This requires a high level of expertise from maintenance technicians, which is why we work together with our specialized dealer network that has the necessary knowledge in-house.
In addition, through the DAF dealerships of the Truck Trading Group, we operate technical depots in Wijnegem, Puurs, Houthalen, Henri-Chapelle and Bande. Thanks to the cooperation with DIF-RENT, it is also easy to arrange tractor units or standard trucks for customers when needed.
Many customers in De Kempen Verhuur’s market segment regularly require tractor units equipped with a hydraulic pump to power walking floor trailers.
Brands
The majority of De Kempen Verhuur’s fleet consists of DAF trucks, but other brands are also part of the offering, explains Clemens van Rijn:
“We also operate Mercedes-Benz and Iveco vehicles in our fleet. Whatever the customer requests, we supply. It is also logical that intermunicipal organizations, which mainly work with public tenders, do not always end up with the same brand when vehicles need to be purchased and fitted with bodywork.”
After all, De Kempen Verhuur does not only rent vehicles; sales and vehicle body construction can also be handled by the company.
“We mainly work with Belgian bodybuilders. There are several good reasons for this: Mol VDK not only delivers excellent quality and customization, they also support us with service and maintenance. The short lines of communication with Mol VDK, Geesink and Faun are also important to us. They ensure that our workshops and dealers can respond quickly and efficiently when needed.”
